Monte dos Perdigões
An Alentejo estate with an artistic past: the writer Damião de Góis lived here, and the composer Luís de Freitas Branco wrote his most important works here.
Monte dos Perdigões is no ordinary wine estate. The writer Damião de Góis once lived here; generations later the composer Luís de Freitas Branco wrote his most important works here. That independent streak remains.
The cellar is modern, with Alentejo marble and French oak. Grapes are picked by hand and the varieties vinified separately. The result is wines that ignore the Alentejo’s image as a region of power: a pale, dry rosé, and a red that is soft and round rather than bombastic.

An Alentejo rosé that ignores the Alentejo rulebook.
From an estate once home to a writer and a composer. Pale salmon, cherry and blackberry on the nose; dry and elegant on the palate. For sushi, salads or an evening that could go anywhere.
