Varna Archer
She spent years bringing Portuguese wine to Dutch tables and has a plot in the Douro bearing her name. When she says it is right, it is right.
Our story
Every bottle has to hit the mark.

How we drink
No tasting glasses or notes. A table, bread, presunto, olives and a bottle waiting to be opened.
Our own photo — Eirados Reserva, with olive oil from Quinta de Santa Eufémia.
We are Varna Archer from Eindhoven and Nelson Archer from Amsterdam — aunt and nephew, born under the same stubborn star sign and equally firm about one thing: a wine has to hit the mark.
No vague talk of leather notes and summer rain. No raised noses or twirled moustaches. A good bottle deserves a conversation, not a dictionary. Beyond family, we share a love of beautiful wine, good food and the belief that the two belong together.
Varna tastes. Nelson tastes. And if we cannot stop talking about it together — trust us. It is a bullseye.
Archer. The name could have been the whole story, but there is more. We are both Taurus, a sign said to savour food and drink. Ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty and sensory pleasure: a strong connection to flavour, aroma and comfort.
Quality over quantity — one carefully cooked meal over ten quick bites. And the ritual of the table: cook slowly, eat slowly, linger even longer. Put our name beside the way we enjoy life and you land in the centre of the target.
Bullseye Wines is a new wine club built around bottles we love to drink and share. Not everyday wine, but original finds from small producers with a story. Each drop focuses on one country: we began in Portugal and the second drop comes from Italy.
We work in drops: small curated selections that open and close. Small enough for us to taste everything ourselves, large enough to make something special.
Want to join? Places in the first drop are limited, and we want them to go to people who love distinctive wine as much as we do.
Welcome to the club.

Nephew, table companion and second voice. Cooks for the wine rather than the other way around, and keeps the conversation away from leather and summer rain.
